High Holidays 2021/5782

  • Welcome to Chabad's High Holiday services!

The Hebrew word for prayer is "Tefillah," which also means "self evaluation." We believe that old stuffy services can be reinvigorated with an emphasis on personal growth and reflective meditation, and our services are designed to allow and encourage precisely that.

Whether your background in Jewish prayer and practice is extensive or limited, the services will leave you feeling enriched, connected, uplifted and energized to start your New Year in the most meaningful way. Hebrew/English prayer books are used throughout the service. Rabbi Goldman provides an English running commentary of explanatory and meaningful insights. It's time for a reset; join us!

    COVID-19 prayer protocols:

All services will take place in a spacious unwalled tent in the backyard of the Chabad House, 251 Albert Street.

As we are in an outdoor space, masks are not mandatory; you are nevertheless welcome to wear your mask, and if you will be singing you must wear a mask.

Chairs will be set up at appropriate distances from each other; you should remain in your seat throughout the service and avoid coming close to other congregants.

Please bring your own kipa/tallit , if possible. We will have limited new kipas available, as we are not reusing them, and we will not have any tallits available. If you can bring your own prayerbook, that is encouraged. We will have a supply of sanitized prayerbooks available for those that need.

Only those who RSVP in advance will be allowed to enter. Walk-ins are regrettably not allowed.
