Information for Passover

LOCAL FOOD SHOPPING: All kosher meat and chicken at Farm Boy is kosher for passover, whether is says so on the label or not. 

Vincenzo's carries matzah and other dry goods that are kosher for passover.

Most, if not all, kosher wines at LCBO are kosher for passover. Just double check the label. 


Search for chametz anytime after 8:45 PM on Sunday, April 21.

Deadline for eating chametz: 10:57 AM, Monday, April 22.

Deadline for burning chametz: 12:01 PM, Monday, April 22.

Earliest time for starting the seder: 8:45 PM on Monday, 9:01 PM on Tuesday.

To order kosher for passover catered food from Ely's in Toronto, which will be delivered to Chabad Waterloo and available for local pickup -

  3. We will confirm the date and time of pickup with you after ordering. You will be able to pick up your order at Chabad in Waterloo.

To order boxes of hand made Shmurah Matzah, email Rabbi Goldman. Each box is $20 and contains 7-9 round matzahs.

As in past years, Chabad will be offering food hampers full of Passover foods for those in need. Please reach out to Rabbi Goldman for a discreet and dignified arrangement.
